Plateau massacre: Lagos Senator insists on removal of Service Chiefs

Senator Solomon Olamilekan, representing Lagos Central Senatorial district has stated that Service Chiefs have ran out of ideas in preferring solution to killings in Nigeria.

He insisted that they should be removed.

Speaking on the Plateau killings, which dominated Senate’s proceeding on Tuesday, the lawmaker also suggested that creation of state Police was necessary now.

The Senator, who called for the removal of Service Chiefs last month, said, “I am not regretting calling for the removal of Service Chiefs.

“I am backing the public who are calling on Mr. President to sack the current Service Chiefs, and I think doing that is the way out.”

He further advocated for the amendment of the Constitution to accommodate the State Police.
